can't delete customer - only archive is offered

Hi everybody,

I am a new user of Clearbooks and I have just imported my customer list from MYOB. I'm loving ClearBooks so far.

There are a lot of redundant and deceased companies in there which I'm getting rid of. All very easy and straight forward. But one company is not offering a delete button - instead there is only an 'archive' option. Don't want to archive, there are no transactions associated with this customer and anyway I have just reset all accounting data.

Why can't I just delete this particular customer? Any ideas?

Hi Alan,

Glad to see you are loving Clear Books!

It could be that the customer was included on a voided invoice - due to the audit log it won't let you delete customers who have been included on voided transactions.

What you could do though is just merge the contact into any other to remove it completely:
