Account archive

Question asked by Phil Jackson 8 years ago

Hi we would like to fully archive one of our accounts and to close it down. If we need to access the data in the future, is it possible to open a new account and to re-activate the account from the backup? Thanks.

Hi Phil,

Unfortunately, we don’t have an archive feature but we are working on an archive subscription option which will hopefully be completed by the end of this month. More details on this will be released on our blog and newsletter.

Currently, you would need to close your account if you no longer needed it active. Once an account is closed it is queued to be purged after 3 months. We can help restore the account if you need it re-opened within that 3 month period.

If you need help with closing the account, please refer to this link: https://www.clearbooks.co.uk/support/guides/account/new-navigation-close-clear-books-account/

Hope this helps.

EDIT: Sorry, I think I should make myself more clear, we are indeed looking to create an archive/dormant subscription, but in the meantime, if you want to close your account now please make sure export your data on the Tools>Export menu.
