Invoicing

Question asked by melvyn Lloyd 8 years ago

Hi,

I have a customer that requires individual invoices for each job carried out which is not a problem, but also requires one invoice at the end of the month with a list of each job throughout the month.

Does anyone know if Clearbooks can do this as they are asking to be invoiced twice which is unusual?

I have tried sending them a statement but this is not sufficient as needs to be an invoice with the VAT and price separated.

Thanks Sarah

Hi Sarah - just to add to what Tommy says, it's not only unusual, it would also break VAT law to issue two VAT invoices for the same work, so if your agreement is that you will invoice them per job as you go along, the monthly document would just be an invoice summary.

If it were me I'd list them on the Sales>Invoices screen then copy & past them to a spreadsheet, adding a column for VAT and net, if that's what they want (or tell them to get a life and do it themselves?)

Hi Melvyn,

That is strange to invoice a customer twice, I think they're looking for a customer statement, unfortunately, our statement feature will only show the full amount and does not show VAT separately.

Apologies for the inconvenience caused!

Tommy
