When I try to explain a statement transaction, it sends me to "We need a few more details to set up your account"

It sounds like the statement you are trying to explain has transactions that are either on a date before your 1st reporting period or before your first VAT scheme.

To check and update your reporting period just use the guide below

Make sure your first reporting period has a date that includes the date of your 1st transaction on your imported statement.

To check and update your VAT scheme (even if it is a non VAT registered scheme), Navigate to Settings > Organisation > Details & tax, click on the Tax link in the left-hand border and hit the Manage VAT schemes link. Delete any schemes you have and re-add them starting from a date before the 1st transaction date on your imported statement.
