Opening Balances

I tried to put an opening balance on the petty cash account but couldn't managed to. So have entered all my petty cash entries and wondering how to still be able to enter the opening balance. Thanks

Hi Joelle,

To enter an opening balance head to Dashboard > Opening Balances > Cash. From this screen, you will have the ability to enter whatever balance you are looking to progress from.

I would suggest that now that you have entered transactions to & from that account, you set the balance to match the balance on the earliest transaction date on said account. allowing your accounts to remain consistent.

This sentiment applies to all the accounts you would like to set up with an opening balance.
