invoice prefix issues

I currently have set the invoice prefix to 2018 however when i create an invoice it saves it as 20182017 how can i change this as in the settings it is just set to 2018?

Hi John,

I believe your issue is being caused have the toggle feature "Separate invoice draft numbering". Toggling this off will return full control over the invoice numbering process.

Head to Settings > Configure System > Toggle Features > Invoices & Expenes

Good Morning John,

The prefix can be set by going to Settings > Configure System > Invoice Themes > Preferences.

Anything else featured in the invoice/ Bill ID can be updated by editing the invoice in question, you will find the invoice number for mentioned invoices in the top right corner of the invoice configuration page.

Sales/Purchases > select the Invoice/Bill ID > Edit Invoice/Bill.
