E-Mail Templates

Question asked by Jason Mutton 7 years ago

Hi All!

I've been using ClearBooks for the past 3 years and I'm still using the default e-mail templates. Now I remember why... I'm a bit confused why there is no header or footer (I know there is signature) template section?

Has anyone actually made some nice looking e-mail templates they would like to share?

Thanks very much, Jason

Good Morning Jason,

We have intentions to overhaul the editor. But at present, I don't believe the email template customisation system can handle this level of customisation.

We do apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Was just trying again lastnight but it looks like when I'm pasting in my HTML code into the different sections ClearBooks is stripping almost everyhing and it looks like its automatically adding the closing tags to elements. Kind of impossible to span the HTML over the different sections if its doing this!

Yeah its impossible. The HTML editor keeps stripping out elements and closing them.

Here is what I'm trying to get it to look like... My Picture Title

Anyone got any ideas?

The current template system really is useless. I've had to heavily edit the HTML to barely getting something looking good. Would it be possible to add some more placeholders/variables?

For example... ::statement_link:: generates an HTML link to the customers statement however.. I can't style this into a button. We need some placeholders to just echo out the plain URL without the HTML.
