Bad Debt Write Offs

Hi Is there a way to write off bad debts easily? Or does it have to be by issuing a credit note? Thanks

If you click on the invoice number you want to write off, select the Options link under the payment history table and this should bring up the option to write off an invoice just to the right of it:
