Balance Sheet

Question asked by Mercy Chibuike-Iheama 6 years ago

Hello, I uploaded an asset(Car) bought in May 2018 in the asset register but it is not reflecting in the balance sheet, what could be the reason?

If you have used any of the account codes under the Revenue Account type (Settings> Accounting> Account codes), that will be why they are showing as Revenue.

If you have some more information on this (that may be sensitive) so that we can investigate, please send it to contact support.

Hi Mercy,

Your car is coded to the Motor vehicles account code, which is a Profit & Loss account code, not a Balance Sheet code.

Why is the Motor Vehicle coded under P&L, it is an asset. How can this be corrected

Hi Mercy,

Apologies, it looks like either something has changed since yesterday or you may have entered the incorrect dates when checking the Balance sheet.

When filtering the BS report for May 2018, The purchase of the car does indeed display after clicking on the sum of the 'Motor vehicles (7001004)' code.

I have sorted it. The purchase of the car was posted this morning

My manufacturing details are showing as revenue. Could you help?
