Triodos bank and linking up with Clearbooks

Question asked by Paula Webb 7 years ago

Hi there,

Our company would like to move from our current high street bank to a more right on ethical bank like Triodos.co.uk. Can anyone tell me if Clearbooks accept the bank feed from Triodos? And if not, why not!

Thanks

Paula

Hi Paula

So refreshing to find someone else using Triodos!

Chances are you have to use a digipass to get into internet banking (username & password access is for personal savings only) and so, if you could use Yodlee you'd have to login each time with the digipass rather than use the auto feeds. So, given how Yodlee is not 100% reliable, you are probably better off using the bank statement download/upload.

I tried to set it up Yodlee on mine but unfortunately got a "WHOOPS!" so couldn't try it out but as the screen above is asking for username & password, it's almost certainly only available in the Netherlands and so you're probably better off asking Triodos UK whether they are going to allow Yodlee to access UK current accounts.

Hi Paula,

We use a third party, Yodlee, to connect with bank accounts and import statements. I have just performed a quick search of their bank accounts supported and it seems they do have a Dutch bank called Triodos:

However, clicking Go shows the credential boxes in Dutch (this data is pulled from Yodlee), so it may be that this feed is only supported for Dutch accounts - please feel free to try it out.

If this feed does not work for you, we do have our own import tool -

Thanks John Fouracre. That's really helpful. Do you happen to know which department at Yodlee I should contact?

thanks

Hi Paula,

Unfortunately not. Yodlee do not seem to take suggestions for new integrations with different banks, but feel free to investigate on their website.

Thanks Paul Scholes. That's good advice. I'll post here if I get any results.
