Why can't I create a report to submit my VAT return even though I have authorised Clear Books as an agent?

This is the message I am getting :Please note that a custom VAT report cannot be submitted to HMRC. To submit a VAT return please choose a HMRC supplied obligation period

Hi ,

Would it be possible to email support@clearbooks.co.uk so we can investigate further? HMRC feed through the VAT return dates they know you should be submitting - you cannot create a custom return and submit that anymore.

I received confirmation LAST WEEK that I had successfully authorised you. And I have not used the incorrect credentials.

I received this message on your software - and I still cannot get a straight answer as to why and why I cannot generate a VAT report.

Hi,

As previously requested - would it be possible to email support@clearbooks.co.uk. It is very difficult to know exactly what is wrong with your account without knowing your details. We do not request these on the public forum.

As for the obligations - they appear in Clear Books once HMRC are able to communicate them - if there are any problems with the sign up they will not send them to us.

I have had the confirmation email from HMRC.

You have sent me the link for the agent. I am not an agent. I am a small business.

The link is for both but it doesn't really matter as the guidance is the same for both too.

Have you added you VAT number in the Settings>Details&Tax menu:
