MTD - any new steps if we already lodge returns directly using Clearbooks?

We have been lodging our (monthly) VAT returns electronically using Clearbooks - Create VAT return then press to lodge - receive an acknowledgment back to confirm it is submitted. So we are already set up with HMRC

Do we need to re-register with HMRC for MTD? Or just carry on doing what we've been doing for the past year or so?

I can confirm that you would need to register with MTD and then authorise Clear Books to submit via HMRC. Please see the guide below.
