directors capital introduced

Question asked by Lisa Brogden 6 years ago

I am new to clear books. Our company has four directors and I want to show that each director has invested different amounts into the bank account by showing their total investment in a laon account ? but then I want that money to show as available in the company bank account to be used from there. If I transfer it from the directors loan account it no longer shows me ( or accountant ) the directors investment in the company .

How do I pay capital into the bank account but assign the value to the directors nominal ?

I would set up four Long Term Liability accounts in the Balance Sheet, one per Director. Then raise a Nominal Ledger to debit bank and credit the relevant Director's account. This makes each loan visible.
