Please check that your national insurance number has been entered correctly.

Question asked by Ronald Barnatt 5 months ago

I am attempting to enter my Q1 submission to the HMRC but upon trying to submit I receive an error Stating "This quarterly income and expenses update could not be submitted to HMRC. Please check that your national insurance number has been entered correctly. Otherwise, please contact Clear Books support to resolve this issue." Can you advise what I need to do to correct this error?

Hi Ron,

We have taken a look and can see there is an error with the HMRC API. We have raised the issue with them and will let you know as soon as we get a response.

Thanks,

Tommy

Thanks Tommy FYI my wifes' account is identical in every way and hers submitted fine?? Kind regards Ron.

Hi Tommy

Has HMRC sorted the issue yet. Im keen to submit this and get the first submission (Q1) of MTD done. I can then relax knowing everything is set up correctly for future submissions.

Kind regards Ron.

Hi Ron,

Unfortunately not, I will update you as soon as HMRC has resolved this on their end.

Tommy

Hi Tommy

While we are waiting for the response from HMRC, can I check my NI number on the clearbooks account. I have looked around the different tabs and I cant locate my NI number?

Thanks Ron.
