Forgotten expense insertion

Question asked by Carol Goldstein 7 days ago

Hi, I was checking my expense sheet for the second quarter before I submitted it to HMRC. I found that I had omitted an expense for August. I then tried to input it so it would show at the end of the quarter but this wasn't successful. How do I input this into the correct timeframe rather than putting it at the end?

That was my original message and it related to 2 replacements expenses of domestic items which subsequently found in property reports. Why are these not shown as expenses?

Hi Carol,

The "cost of replacing domestic items" is an allowance that is added in the MTD Tax Return as part of the capital allowances and other profit adjustments area rather than being included in the Quarterly returns. The amount entered will be deducted from taxable profit.
