How do I record any income?

I am having loan received at the beginning of the business but I don't know how to record it. Also I received gift from my bank when I changed my bank accounts. How should I record them? Many thanks.

Hi Joanna,

You will have to create a loan account and then transfer from your loan account to the required bank account. Also to record the received gift, you will have to create a money in transaction by heading to 'Money > Manage money'. However, it would be best to consult your accountant to help you decide what account code to create for this transaction.
