Authentication error for payroll

Which contacts have you recently merged?
non of those details have changed. Things I have done recently includes granting access to the user and merging contacts

Have any of the registered addresses changed recently, either yours or the clients, since the last successful submission? A change to any of the criteria listed above by John can give this error.

Hi John,
I seem to be having similar problems to David. I have double checked the Employer PAYE details and retyped my agent details. Error still persists. " Authentication Failure. The supplied user credentials failed validation for the requested service."
One other issue I have noted (possibly related) is the fact that any time I try to get to my Payroll from that of a client, I always get a blank screen but for the Accounting Payroll HR links at the top left and an error message to contact support.
Note; I have previously submitted to HMRC using same details.

In Open Payroll head to Employer > Details and make sure you have filled out both the PAYE ref. field and the Accounts office reference field. Once this has been updated make sure each employee has the following fields filled in accurately -
Title, Surname, First two forenames, Gender, Type, Building name/no, Road/street name, Town County, Postcode, Job title, Date of birth, Date of starting, NI number (if you can't get this you can leave it blank), Payroll frequency, Pay rate and Number of normal hours worked,
If you still have any problems submitting your FPS or EPS just let me know.
I can't find anywhere how to actually set up the PAYE RTI details? No documentation, no information on the page that says the credentials are wrong, nothing in the settings .... tearing my hair out!

Yes thanks all working now. I just retyped in my info and re submitted and it worked
