Govenment Grants how to account for them

We have a grant from the government for taking on an apprentice.

how do we account for this income in clearbooks?

Hi Paul,

Head to Money > Manage money and create a money in transaction for the grant received (If you import statements then explain the receipt on the imported statement instead).

Make sure to create an appropriate account code on the Settings > Codes menu before doing so and use this account code in the Account drop down list when explaining the receipt.
