PayPal payment part funded by current account

You are correct the automatic PayPal import tool will only pick up on the £75 PayPal balance and not the adjustment of £25 from the current account. However just to clarify have you actually paid in £25 physically to your PayPal account? If so then it will appear within the PayPal auto feed. Otherwise if this is just represented within Clear Books it will not appear.

I need to clarify with the client in all honesty as he's analysed the import himself.

At this point though my understanding is that the full payment of £100 has been deducted from the PayPal account within Clear Books without reflecting the £25 'topup' from the external source - in essence leaving the PayPal account looking like it's £25 overdrawn.

Spoke to the client, to clarify:

• Payment made via PayPal (let's call it £100 just to keep things easy).
• Balance on PayPal was £75 at the time of making the payment
• The remaining £25 came from the bank account

The full £100 has been shown on the PayPal import as being the payment amount (which i'd expect), but the £25 bank funding is nowhere to be seen (i'd have expected to see a transfer in perhaps?) End result is the PayPal account within Clear Books showing as £25 overdrawn.

Questions/points:

1. is that how the feed would generally work?
2. if it is, i'm presuming we're expected to pick the 'transfer in' from the current account import?
