I have set up a number of employees with tax code 1000L and re-processed their YTD salaries from the start of the tax year (ie April) to date but PAYE is calculating as 0. Anyone know why this is happening?
Hello Helen,
The X refers to having week 1 month 1, where you can change on the employees' details page.
The emergency tax code will not be entered in the salary boxes as there is a box specific for that under the employee details section.

Thanks both. I have got to the bottom of 1000L so that's resolved, but now cannot add emergency tax code 1000LX, do you know why this is?
