Vat Period end date

I just received back dated vat registration to 1st June 2014 today (20 Nov 2014), within the setup in Clearbooks it asks for the vat period end date (month actually). What month should I be selecting here in here e.g. June, November etc?

NB I have opted for monthly returns and will be looking to reclaim some vat during the backdated period (longer back than one month) during the first submission, then afterwards it would be on a monthly basis.

I have already setup the vat schemes and entered the dates as required.

I presume you're referring to this box:

If so, I don't think it really matters in all honesty. The dates that go into any return are entered once you go to Reports > Tax > VAT Return.

Hi Alistair,

Kevin is correct, that is where you enter the date. Also, as long as you have a VAT scheme to cover every transaction in your account then it will be OK.
