Budget Variance Reporting

I would really benefit from a performance vs budget report within Clearbooks which would allow me to look at performance for the month and YTD vs the budget that is in the system

Currently this isn't an option - would be good to know who else thinks it would be a useful report

I can't see how anyone can properly manage their business performance without this report - it is critical to see if you are hitting your projected revenues and also not overspending against budgeted costs

Hi Rachel,

Thank you for your suggestion! In fact, previously, we did have a Budget Report but have removed this for further development. We currently do not have an estimated time of completion but is definitely on our Roadmap.

Hi Rachel

If you do a search above on "Budget" you'll see the history of this much requested feature. Even though the budgeting tool eventually got the comparison feature working in 2015 it was never really that good.

To be honest, if it's that important (and I agree it should be to most SMEs) then there are lots of Cloud budgeting apps, in fact there are lots of Cloud budgeting/forecasting apps that you can tailor to your needs. Many I'm sure will allow you to export and import actual figures from CB in CSV format.
