Total cash out and in on Cash Flow report

Idea suggested by Zoltán Lehóczky 11 years ago

I find the Cash Flow report of little use now because its main point in my opinion would be to show the cash amount that has gone out and in of the company in total for each months and for a given time frame, while indicating the balance of these.

The report however is just showing total cash flow and the cash balance beside all the categories. So if I'd like to know what the total cash amount that left the company in a given period was I'd have to take a calculator...

I have to say I find it hard to believe how total fields can be missing from such reports where it would be as perfectly suitable as it gets. And each line would need a Total column too: https://secure.clearbooks.co.uk/community/ideas/5522/total-column-on-the-cash-flow-report

Basically I find the layout of the PnL report perfect and would like to see exactly the same for Cash Flow. The latter is also missing lines featuring bold letters that indicate some summary.

ClearBooks, come on! Make Cash Flow as beautiful as the PnL is!

Hi Zoltan,

I will be sure to pass your thought on to the appropriate people and they will discuss the best way to handle and implement your idea. I understand that it is something you really want to see, but we have to be fair and do the things that affect the greatest number first.

Many Thanks

Guys, you gotta be kidding. This is a trivial improvement. I don't mean trivial to implement (but really it should be that, too) but something that is absolutely needed with every table report. And again, your PnL report has it!

Hi Zoltan,

Thank you for the idea. I can see you have looked into this in detail. It will be interesting to see what other users think of your suggestion and how they feel it could be implemented as this sounds like something which could affect a number of people.
