Clearbooks Support (or lack of it)

Problem reported by Michael Scott 10 years ago

I opened a support ticket about a month ago. Had an issue with Paypal imports. Clearbooks support did eventually take a look at my account, but actually made the problem worse!

I'm guessing there is probably a bug in the system which is causing my issue. (fine) But what is really annoying is they have left me alone to now try and sort an issue which one of their support members has caused. They won't even respond now to my ticket.

So my question is... Is this a common problem with Clearbooks support?

Sorry about this Michael,

I have just read through your ticket - It looks as though you have imported up to the 28th April. Have you tried importing recently? Is it just the customers and suppliers not generating for each transaction on the import that you are having an issue with?

Also when you say the support member has caused this can you let me know how as this is not clear in the ticket?

Thanks for your reply John. They basically messed up the import and just left it like that.

Yes, the last time I imported customers did generate. So good news!

The problem now after explaining all of these transactions, it's now failing to automatically import.

Regards

No problem Michael - I've just attempted another import on your account now and it seems to have pulled through ok - it could have been a temporary glitch preventing it previously. All customers seem to have generated too - have a check though that and let me know if there are any problems.

Thanks for your quick response. I'll take a look.

As before the import has worked.

But after 2 days it doesn't appear to be automatically importing any new transactions.

I did also leave 1 transaction unexplained in case that was a glitch. But it's still not pulling new transactions through.

Update: It has now pulled transactions through automatically. But as before the customers aren't being generated.

I'm just going round in circles, getting nowhere here!

Sorry Michael - the auto import is hopefully importing transactions each day, however the two settings to import customers/suppliers do not currently work with this auto imports enabled. The only way you can use the Paypal import tool and create customers/suppliers automatically is to:

1 Head to Money>Bank accounts and click on the edit icon beside the Paypal account.

file

2 Disable auto imports and save.

3 Click on the import link beside the Paypal account.

4 Make sure all check boxes are ticked and hit the import button.

Thanks for your reply.

Is there any plans to fix this in the future?

Hi Michael,

I have requested the create suppliers/customers options to be saved and recognised by the auto import tool. I can't give any specific time frames, however it is indeed something the development team will be updating in future.
