Windows 8.1 Touch Screen issues

Problem reported by Julian Maurice 10 years ago

just some feedback.

I'm away from my office, working on a Windows 8.1 Surface and am having real problems using the cloud interface. I can't enter in details as the site gets confused between touch screen and hardware keyboard.

Hi Julian - Just an update on this issue from our development team -

'We've taken a look at this. It seems to partially affect the Surface Pro tablets on Windows 8.1 when using the full-screen (Metro) version of Internet Explorer. It affects the New Client/Customer form when opened via "Create invoice", and seems to have issues when the keyboard accessory is attached to the tablet. This did not seem to be an issue when using Google Chrome on the Surface.'

If you can try test this out on Chrome on the Surface hopefully this should work.

Sorry about this Julian,

I don't think there is going to be a quick fix - I'm not sure how much testing has been done on this platform (if any to date), however we really should have it working normally on all devices. I have raised your feedback with our development/design team to investigate and resolve for future.

Scrub that, I can't actually use the touch screen either. I'm trying to enter in a new client's details, I've managed to enter in a name using the touch screen, but when scrolling down to enter in the email address the page just seems to reject any input.

The surface is a touch screen enabled device running a desktop version of Windows 8.1. I guess I'll have to buy a mouse and try that.
