Email Address Box

When a customer has been set up why does the error message come up even though the email is correct (when trying to edit the contact)?

There is nothing wrong with the email addresses being used for each contact. For example I even put my own email address and the error message still appeared.

The other issue is if you do not put an email address in the box you cannot save any other info you may have edited?

This means at the moment that any contacts we want to edit cannot be edited.

Very strange, mine's working now but I did provide the customer with the link to this email thread so perhaps they were able to rectify whatever was needed.

This does not solve our issue I am afraid.

I can put my own email address in any other edit contact and it works.

On this particular edit contact I have shown you it does not matter what email address you put in, it is still rejected, even my own.

Can you help?

We get quite few of these queries - I tend to check the address on some of the free online email validation tools online (like the one below) which give a report on the problem with the email address

http://www.email-validator.net/

If these tools throw up any errors Clear Books won't like them being used :( They do give instruction on what the owner of the address should do to get it working though.

Funny, i've got one contact who I get the same error msg for even though their email address is absolutely fine. The system simply won't entertain sending invoices etc to them no matter what I try.
