Late Payment Button Grayed Out / Not Available?

To Whom It May Concern at Clear Books Support:

I need to be able to create Alerts for the following two ( of the three categories ) - New Invoice Created and Late Payment . .

We do not need an Alert for Early Payment - this just annoys the customer . . .

I have no problem Opt'ing In for Invoice Created - but Late Payment is grayed out?

Why is this?

Hi John,

Thanks for contacting Clear Books support.

If I understand your issue correctly you are enquiring about automatic email reminders?

If so, you will need to turn on the automatic email module in question before you can opt customers in or out of it. You can do this from the Sales > Emails > Settings menu by ticking the appropriate checkbox and clicking Save.

Please be aware that when you turn on one of the automatic emailers all of your existing customers will be opted in to that email by default while all newly added customers will be opted out by default.

You can change the opt status of individual customers from the Reminder Settings tab of the Edit customer page.
