Exporting all information to a new clear books account

Hi,

We've set up a new Clearbooks account for our business - as the information on the old one wasn't kept up to date.

We're having difficulties in exporting information from our old account to a new one, particularly with:

Bills/Purchases - the 'account codes' are different, we need these to be exported exactly.

Customers/Suppliers - managed to export this, but the invoice/delivery address was unsuccessful.

Hi Dominik,

I understand. If you have created account codes in your old account. These will not be present in the new account and you will need to create these manually. You can export your account codes from your old account also. This should help.

For your contacts. I am not sure why the address import was unsuccessful. Potentially this may have been due to the mappings being set up incorrectly. If you are only just setting up this new account I would advise resetting and trying again, only this time importing just one line of your export so that you can test to make sure it is all set up correctly before the import.
