sorry we were unable to import this transaction -failed to create new contact

I am getting a lot o error messages saying " sorry we were unable to import this transaction - failed to create new contact"
It occurs when I have to enter 2 or more payment details (received from) for a single bank transaction.
I enter all the details and then when I click to SAVE it the message comes up.
usually it accepts when I re enter all the details again but sometimes I have to enter more than twice.
this is frustrating.
could you tell me why this is happening please?
