I am starting my 30 day trial. Why has my period starting date been automatically set to 30 August 2012. It won't let me delete it. My financial period runs from 1 March 2013 to 28 Feb 2014.

For reporting periods you should be able to edit the first reporting period - however you will first need to delete any periods that appear after it. Once you have updated the first reporting period, you can re-add the other periods.
Deleting reporting periods does not remove any transactions.
Not to worry, I found the "reset" button :-)
