As a side note, and i've reported this as a bug before, that quote on the statement as mentioned above by Daniel is visible on all statements I produce even though I don't have Go Cardless enabled.
It would be handy to figure out why it's there as it does confuse my clients somewhat (well, those that bother to read it that is!!)
Hi Kevin,
Could you please raise a ticket including a screenshot of your statement and the message you are able to see? This will allow us to look into this further for you.
Thanks

"the reason you are seeing this message is due to the customer needing to approve the payment"
What, the HTML formatting tag that's crept through is because the customer needs to approve the payment?
No, my initial message was because there's a HTML tag that's become visible to the end user. And it looks sloppy!
Hi Daniel,
Having looked into your statement the reason you are seeing this message is due to the customer needing to approve the payment. If you however want the payment to go through automatically from the customer you will need to ensure you edit your recurring invoice template so that the payment account is set to GoCardless and you select the option attempt to collect money automatically from customer.
Thanks,
Anan
