Automated payment to suppliers?

Can I set up automated payment to suppliers using Clearbooks features?

Hi Vicky,

Unfortunately that is not a feature we currently support at the moment. This option only works for recurring invoices set up for customers, who provide you with a GoCardless Pre-auth code to allow request for automatic direct debit payments to be collected via GoCardless, on invoices that are generated on the system. The only other way to make automatic payments to suppliers on recurring invoices, would be to have these suppliers join up as a Clear Books customer and they can then set up a recurring invoice template for you, as one of their customer. However, I understand that this can be somewhat of a long shot.

I can convert this question as an idea, so that it can grow the voting procedure and gather popularity and this will then determine the level of priority the idea is given by our development team in terms of implementation.

Ooooh that i'm not too sure on but having worked for a bank in a previous life i'd be really surprised if they'd allow this. You'd surely have to either set-up a standing order at your end or a DD with your supplier.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will pop along shortly to confirm...

Not really. I read on the internet we can set up automated payment from customers using Gocardless. Then the cusomter will accept it and we will get paid by direct debit. Can we do the same with the suppliers? So my bank will pay the suppliers when a bill is due.

Hi Vicky. What exactly do you mean by an automated payment? You can set a recurring bill to autopay if that's what you mean?
