Paul,

We will need to look at the account in question in order to pursue this further. As we will need the details of the account it would be better if we continued this as a support ticket.

Could you please raise a support ticket for this issue and provide the name of the account with the problem and the name of the shareholder that you need removed?

Apologies for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.

Thanks for your reply.

I've updated the supplier's erroneous shareholder status as you suggested, but they are still showing up in the shareholders list.

Paul,

If a shareholder cannot be deleted then this means that they either have already been paid a dividend or have an invoice allocated to them. In this case I assume the latter explanation is the most sensible as the erroneous shareholder is also a supplier.

To remove their status as a shareholder navigate to the suppliers list (Contacts > Suppliers) and click on the 'edit supplier' button file in the 'options' menu for the supplier you wish to edit.

In the 'basic information' tab click the 'shareholder' drop-down menu and select the 'no' option. Click the 'save' button to accept the changes.

Please let us know if this does not resolve the issue.

Thanks for your reply. I don't seem to have the option to delete the shareholder, the buttons aren't showing.

Paul,

Apologies for the delay in responding to your query.

To delete a shareholder navigate to the Shareholders screen (Tools > Dividends > Shareholders) and click on the name of the shareholder you wish to delete in the list.

Click the 'Delete shareholder' button to remove the shareholder.
