Dates in recurring invoices

When generating recurring invoices it should be possible to have at least a date field in the comment/item box which automatically updates itself to the current date (or month). I couldn't find a solution for this. I have for example monthly recurring invoices for website hosting and would like to indicate to the client the month for which the invoice is meant for.

Website hosting for {month year}.

At the moment I have to create all the invoices as draft, then edit them individually before I can send them out.

Any suggestions? Cheers Stephane

Hi Stephane - this would be a good one for the Ideas section, for people to vote on.

Some of the bills I get from monthly subscription services state "charges for current month" avoiding the need to state a month. I'm not sure if Auto-send works with recurring invoices but if it does and you use it, you could change the wording on the email each month, before sending, to indicate the month?

These are very helpful workarounds and I will think about it. The implementation of some basic fields would still be appreciated. Thanks Paul.
