Customer Special Pricing

Question asked by Sharon Petrie 8 years ago

Is there a way of either (a) having a default discount code that goes on to a specific customers quote each time they contact us; or (b) set a special price for a specific customer? We have a number of customers who have pricing which varies from our standard list price and it would be helpful if we could set their pricing so it doesn't have to be changed each time we do a quote/invoice.

Hi Sharon - that's a shame but, just in case, you can import products into CB also, one of my clients, who has a few specially priced items, uses the product name to easily select them on the dropdown and so you could use say the start of the customer's name to ID special prices for individual customers.

I'm clutching at straws here I know so will shut up now!

Hi Paul

Thanks for the quick response. As we have such an extensive product range that wouldn't work for us - I'll have to think of an alternative way of tracking those customers with special prices.

Hi Sharon

Discounts are set invoice by invoice and you can't attach them to a customer however you can use the stock/product toggle which enables you to create sales or purchase stock/product items with set prices for each.

It's not automatic but when you create a quote or invoice, you just select the stock item from the drop down and it populates the description, price, account and VAT rate boxes for you.

Hope that's of some use.
