"Unit price rounding" = showing incorrect numbers on my invoices to my clients!!!

Question asked by Michael Joseph Wdowiak Beijer 7 years ago

My rate for my client is €0.095/per word (for translation) (not €0.10).

However, although the system is telling me the calculations are correct (see note * below), it cannot display my rate correctly on my invoices to the client. I wasn't aware of this before starting to use ClearBooks. To be honest, this is a showstopper for me. I HAVE to be able to show my clients the correct rates. Is there any way to do this?

*"Unit price rounding

Having more than 2 decimal places in your unit price will do the correct calculations, however only 2 decimal places will be shown when editing or generating a report."

Good luck Michael. I've been waiting for this for the last 4 years unfortunately.

Also be super careful when you got back to edit an invoice - it will automatically be re-calculated at the higher 0.10 price, not the correct 0.095 price. You have to go back and edit every line entry and manually re-type 0.095 every time you edit an invoice.

Hmm, if I had known this, I wouldn't have started the huge job of switching from my previous system to ClearBooks. Unless they fix this within the next few weeks (which I assume they won't), I am probably going to have to switch everything back to my old system.
