Amazon

Question asked by Peter 7 years ago

Amazon pay the seller according to a sales report every two weeks Amazon deduct at source commission from the gross sales figures “that’s sales inclusive of VAT” and transfer payment to seller bank account. Therefore this creates a problem with "explaining" the amount received in the bank as it does not represent the gross sales figure. We have to produce an invoice or some transaction document that reflects the gross sales figure inclusive of VAT as such we are not aligned with funds paid into the bank, its minus commission. Could you please advise a workable solution in Clear Books. Thank you

Hi Carl,

Unfortunately, with regards to the query, I did require some additional personal data and therefore asked Peter to send a ticket in.

Regardless, I do recall this query, to deal with commission, you would raise the invoice as per usual, however, you would add a new line item for the commission and showing this as a negative amount, which should reduce the gross value to the amount that you received.

Also, if this does not answer your query, please feel free to submit a community post, we are more than happy to help you with your queries.

Thanks,

Tommy
