Is it possible to create a payment method from the API

Hi,

I'm using the API to sync with a package I'm building and I can't seem to find a way of creating a payment method via the API. We need to have a few different methods but the API docs seem to not have a way of doing it. I can list the methods already added but can't create new ones.

Is it possible or am I missing something?
