Sabbatical Leave

Hello, We have an employee starting sabbatical leave soon. We currently use Clearbook to do Payroll. How should I report this in Clearbooks? Adding Unpaid Leave to the employee still means they show up in Payroll and appear as needing to be paid fully for any month they are away for. Also, if anyone knows what the reporting requirements are for HMRC that would be great! thanks,

Hi Nick,

If it has been agreed the employee is due sabbatical leave pay, you can process the employee's payslip and manually input their pay for that month.

I would advise double checking with an accountant if there are any additional reporting requirements other than your usual RTI submissions.

Thanks Tommy, As noted above it's Upaid Leave. I'm guessing Clearbooks can't handle this so needs to be handled manually?
