Dashboard VAT figures

Hi, I would like my Dashboard to be showing the correct figures. Can you please explain the following:

I have VAT due of £4212.28

But my Dashboard is showing £23,806.16. I suspect an erroneous opening balance but don't know how to fix it .

How do I get my Dashboard figure to reflect the true picture?
